I love Lindqvist, but don't think I've heard of Little Star before. Let me know how it is when you're finished. Have you read Harbor? I've been waiting for it to come out in paperback, so I'll finally be getting to it soon.

It's a brilliant book from a symbolic stand point. Like, everything in the book is a metaphor or symbol for something else. The way they are all at play makes Ellison one of the best American writers of all time. The narrative element is a little lacking, though. Don't go into it expecting a brilliant story, because it just isn't there. Highly readable—the book pratctically reads itself—but the story is digressive and circular. It's not really about that, but still.

    Great book.

Don't go into it expecting a brilliant story, because it just isn't there. Highly readable—the book pratctically reads itself—but the story is digressive and circular. It's not really about that, but still.
sounds like a kind of book bears would want to read. "Digressive and circular" is something bears don't mind in the least.

I'll have to move it up my list a bit. I'm struggling over what book to read now :'( It's a sad, inhuman state of affairs.
