Very nice, David. Can't wait to see some pics of it hanging in your office.
There are several of the paintings by Michael Whelan in DT7 that I would love to have prints of, I just can't find them for sale anywhere. The few that are on Michael's website are not ones I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a print of:
The Clearing
Walter's End
And I know there was one from DT1 but I can't think of it offhand at the moment.
Does anyone know if prints were ever even available for these? If they were, where might I find them?
John
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Out of all the moments of the DT books my favorite is the Poloroid Pic of the dark tower. I saw in the Knowing Darkness book that MW id a B/W drawing of that. Is that in the DT7?
I would love to have that as a print.
That's a bummer those prints weren't available. Both those paintings have a lot of meaning not just to the story line but to my life personally.
oh well, maybe someday.
We'll leave this up a bit, then merge it into the existing Michael Whelan thread.
Does anyone have further information about this?

Thank you! I knew of the Knowing Darkness book, but didn't connect it with this.
And Jerad ran out of prints.
This collecting stuff is a sickness! ~Patrick
I thought these would be better here than in the Pride and Joy thread.
Here are two small (8"x8" & 8"x10") character sketches that Michael Whelan did for the Discordia project.
I think these are in the same series of art that David's Father Callahan is from but I'm not certain.
I do know that I was NOT the model for either of these!
"Alain" and "Cuthbert" both done in acrylics. Expert framing by Audrey Price.
I like these a lot and Judy says I can hang them anywhere in the house.
Almost forgot. I got a freebie with these. A pencil drawing of Roland.
WOW!! Very nice!

Remember, Remember, The Fifth of November, The Gunpowder, Treason, and Plot.
Stunning.
<-----Has to repeat STUNNING!
No surprise that Whelan is a great artist, Audrey Price knows how to frame the art, and Bob is the best at obtaining, and displaying (archiving) it.
Outstanding Bob.
The Pencil drawing is fantastic

Bob-
Yes, those are the same renditions that Michael used in the Discordia project and when he did my Father Callahan. I still need to pick mine up!!!
Stephen had first pick of all the art of course. He bought several, but I am not at liberty to say which ones.
