DT Spoiler - Enter at your own risk!
Spoiler:
Captain, Road Prison 36 : What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
24 as of right this minute, possibly 26 if both my 11/22/63 orders actually went through !
I have 10 signed books
Night Shift
UTD
LSOE
DTII-VII(II is an authors copy)
11/23/63
As of last night, I have..................
one (11/22/63)
Can't say if he really signed it or a secretary or a machine signed it though.
So they aren't burned?
No, the are not. They are resting quite comfortably on my book shelf. Except for The Wastelands, which I am reading now. That is in another room. So far, I really like the the Dark Tower series.
I have never read the Dark Tower series. This is what happened. I was always a big SK fan. Starting from when I saw the shining and read Christine in JR High. But The Gunslinger came out in 83. I was only 13. Then a few years later I saw The Drawing of The Three and said "OOHHH a new SK book" So, naturally I bought it. I started to read it and it made no sense at all to me. So I put it down. It was only years later that I discovered that it was just one book in a larger series. So, I still put it off. Then I bought my III-VIII Limited books. I ended up finding a Limited DT II and then I was able to get LSOE. So, once that came out I started to read the books. BTW, I appreciate that kind of humor.
I am jealous of your reading it for the first time. I wish i could again. Have fun! I actually read dt II first myself.

I have always enjoyed reading or watching what I think of "quest" stories. I never read them but I liked Lord of the Rings. I really liked The Stand. I would through IT and The Talisman in there as well. But I also like his other stories like Insomnia and Needful Things. Misery and Gerald's game were fantastic IMHO. But I am enjoying the trip the Dark Tower seems to be taking me on. But that is for another thread.
i think everyones total is going to increase in the next week or so.
I added mine up and very happy with my little stash of books:
5 SL's - Colorado Kid (x of 33 Miller), Salems Lot, Under The Dome (UK), Dark Tower VII, Quietly Now
2 Flatsigned - The Long Walk (UK) & Lisey's Story - both from the London Signing
1 Facsimile :-)
Also soon to be owner of the IT S/L from CD. Can't wait.
The Stand S/L and The Talisman (Lettered) would look cool on my shelves too. One day.
also edited to add: You'll find my name in the ones that walked The Green Mile too.

I'm not very organized, but I count 21 plus three on the way: Big Book of Neocon, 11.22.63 and IT.
