Not sure what your budget is, but thought i would mention that Hutch has 2 signed Bag of Bones listed on his website.
He has a lot of nice stuff and i am always checking out his site to see whats new. If i ever come across lots of cash to spend on books he will probably make a small fortune off of me.
I would love to have alot more signed first editions.

Sadly, I bet the buyer didn't know any better. The auction is very deceiving, as it states first edition everywhere. Even though it states the number line, it doesn't state 16th printing.

I'd stay away also. Although, as you said, it could be because it's hurried, it just doesn't look right to me either.

Well...last week I got tired of waiting for some books I purchased at ebay and I started the process of getting (if possible) my money back. Paypal mentions that they can't assure that. I paid part with my paypal founds and the rest with my credit card. Can I get back what I paid by Credit card at least (it's VISA)?
Any advice is very welcomed.

nice piece of information there...I, as well as many of us, am an avid collector and only once did i get shammed...just yesterday actually, but it was only for a beatup paperback that I wanted for other reasons so no biggie there...However I did just find on Amazon a 1st edition 1st printing of Carrie in pristine condition....for only 1 dollar and 99 cents....yep.. the skies should open up anytime now...cracked me right the hell up it did...I think we all know the truth on this one folks...besides the outragously, ridiculous price I think maybe there was no other printings of first editions on this book...I could be wrong about this, so I'll take all the feedback I canon that note.....but I am certianly not wrong about the fact that this is a hilarious piece of advertising...we're talking the holy grail here..and regarding price clipped DJ's...some people don't mind em...at the risk of sounding snobby..I won't even consider them..

you know, paypal always says that they can't guarantee anything but i've never heard of them not getting someone their money back when a transaction goes bad. so long as you have all the documentation, and this includes all emails back and forth, they are really great about this part.
also, they'll want to know if you paid for insurance. and if you filed a claim with the postal service (if it came from the u.s.) because they might want you to go that route first.
let us know what happens.
