Perhaps the worst I have ever seen:
Signed Stephen King The Dark Tower The GunSlinger 1st Plume Printing 1988
or this could be the worst:
Stephen King Four Past Midnight SIGNED 1st ed HC
That Gunslinger is terrible.

"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
If this is legit, then King signed and dated 2 books the same day, with remarkably different signatures. I am a bit puzzled.
STEPHEN KING, HAND SIGNED, CUJO, FIRST EDITION/FIRST PRINTING, LIKE NEW
Anyone have an issue with this Chadbornne signature? I can't tell if I'm being cautious or paranoid. I wouldn't think the signature and picture would both be there...but for the price, I wouldn't mind replacing my gift edition with this one! http://r.ebay.com/54X8Pf
Thanks for the help guys! It may not be the most intricate, but I got my first Chadbourne remarque!
I think $81 is a great deal. Congratulations.
Congrats, Desiree!

"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
No no no.
PATHETIC attempt........
These reinforce why I only buy signed limited editions. The only flatsigned book I own is a Bag of Bones I was lucky enough to get in person.
That is a good rule of thumb. All my signed ones came from the publisher that way...so they should be truly signed, right?! And the other two I had signed so I am positive they are good. I will say there are a few booksellers (Betts, for one) that I would trust. But ebay is such a gamble! This thread has me so paranoid that I was double-checking a Chadbourne drawing & signature the other day!
I would trust Bett's as well. I was lucky enough to visit the store in Maine when it was still open to the public.
Hey fellow collectors,
as i said once before i love this place of collectors, and the chance to lern some more about what we all like here.
So i spend quite some hours looking through this topic and learn more about kings signatures in the last years. (thanks for that !)
with that i could clearly get rid of some uncertainties within my collection - but a few books are here where i am unsure.
As i started collection books long before i lost my faith in the internet - i still have some signed copys here where i am somewhere between
"what the hell was wrong to me buying this" to "i am sure that it has to be legit, but i cant say and it keeps me awake not to be sure"
now it is time to place all cards on the table and get through a topic that i try to avoid
So maybe you guys can help me with that.
I also will post my "worst off" to keep this documented for other freshmen who maybe find this place before the buy
And keep it at least funny
Thanks for your support , mental and with knowledge
so lets get through it:*

6) Sunset
option: legit
Even if the signature unusual because of the slash at the end. There are some others out there from the same signing event sold by different sellers.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321039662086 -
+ the signature is close to perfect ("g" , and the small dot)
compared to other books out of this time.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/120835614729?
+ I know that it doestn mean anything but
tickets and photos of the event are added to the book.

7,8 ) The Girl ... Gordon // Tommyknockers
option : unsure
I bought 2 Books from and older Lady located in Pittsfield Maine, who claimed to met King by knowing his wife tabetha.
So she got signatures for a few books she liked a lot. This are two of them.
I am unsure about the signatures but as far as i could compare them to others it think that this are good ones.
9) Black House
option: Unsure
On the first view i would say wrong wrong, but it was sold by a book seller who usually is very trustful. I am interessted in your opinion, maybe i am wrong and it it ok.
For me it would be the first fake of both authors.

No it is getting dirty ...

x) Regulators / Everything / Buick /
option: fake or surprice
I was new to signed SK Books... and i will wear the collar of shame for buying them.
I do not expect them to be real - but let me see what you think
Priest, here's my opinion for whats its worth. But keep in mind I AM NOT AN EXPERT by any stretch of the imagination. I just like voicing (and hearing lol) my own thots...
JAS: Probably ok but ugly. I dont like the K.
TGWLTG: Not good sorry
Tommyknockers: No good sorry
Blackhouse: No good sorry
Regulators: No good sorry
EE: Looks like the same forger for Regulators. No good sorry
FAB8: Not sure on this one. Maybe a better done forgery (looks like it could have been done by the same one who did the two above)?
Again, Im no way an expert and some here may think differently. BTW but I dont mind being honest and bashing some of these because IVE BEEN THERE. I've bought my fair share of fakes so dont be discouraged, just check here before pulling out your wallet.
