    I think it's great -- whimsical, cockeyed crazy and just a helluva lot of fun. Plus brutal.

    Hulu just recently premiered the 2018 British miniseries Butterfly that I read about last year. It made some waves over there for its empathetic portrayal of a trans kid during a prime time slot. It's only three episodes and I'm only one episode in but I can already tell this is a special series. Great acting all around, highly recommended: https://www.hulu.com/series/butterfl...6-84e726ffa237

    It's very emotional and moving, and deals with self-harm so keep that in mind.

    For anyone who enjoyed BANSHEE, check out TIN STAR on Amazon Prime. Season 2 just dropped. Tim Roth plays the chief of police of a small town in Alberta whose son is murdered during an attempted hit because of [backstory]. It gets wilder and wilder with each episode, and I don't think Roth is without a pistol in his hand for more than a few minutes in S2.

    Tin Star: First season is really good with a nice story and character development. Second season to me seemed off the wall and didn't have a good plot. Too unbelievable and how is Roth still allowed to run around???
    Umbrella Academy: I felt the characters wined a lot and that was the premise of the story line. I didn't like it.

    So I started watching The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix this weekend.

    There are some genuinely good bits, creepy and tense, and some great cinematography.. unfortunately this is riddled by every single Horror cliche in the book, and So. Many. Monologues. You can't go 10 minutes without tripping onto a somber, depressing monologue.

    At this point I'm wondering if I should stick with it or cut my losses.
