I have three episodes left of NARCOS S3 -- great season. I don't miss that other guy at all.
Author of The Road to the Dark Tower, Stephen King: A Complete Exploration of His Work, Life, and Influences and The Dark Tower Companion. Co-editor with Stephen King of the anthology Flight or Fright.
After seeing these last few posts, I started watching Narcos, and very much enjoying it.
Lore had been on my radar but I didn't realize it was only Amazon Prime.
And Heather, I don't know if I remember you saying you visited the real doll.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Yes, it was pretty cool. He's at this little museum down in Key West. I'll have see if I can dig up the pictures.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
Finally will get something really cool out of the Amazon Prime membership!
What about The Man in the High Castle? I heard that was supposed to be really good.

I watched THE FIVE, based on Harlan Coben's novel. A decent thriller about a little boy who disappeared 20 years ago whose DNA shows up at a couple of contemporary crime scenes. A little overwrought, I thought, and they definitely didn't trust the audience to remember things, so there are a lot of insert shots that hearken back to something we saw previously to remind us, but not bad. Now I'm watching Une Chance de Trop (No Second Chances), a French adaptation, which is superior. I wasn't expecting to see Dana Delany in it! An Harlan Coben has a cameo, too.

I have no idea where the show is going to go tonight, but I'd be on board with a season 2. You could turn it into something like The Killing where we follow Ambrose on another case. You could also turn it into an anthology show like True Detective. The fact of the matter is that it's been huge for USA and they won't be quick to let it go.

Indeed. I've never been a huge Biel fan, but she turned in some amazing work here. As for The Killing, don't even get me started. You're completely right, they better not drag it out. Thankfully, networks have learned from the debacle that was The Killing season 1. You can't keep asking people "Who Killed Rosie Larson?', imply that we will find out at the end of the season, and then not deliver. That show never recovered from that decision. It's unfortunate too because the final season was on Netflix and it's actually really good.

Yeah it was good. Loved the final season of it. But that move pissed a lot of people off. Networks should be smart enough by now you woudl figure. What works and what does not.... this is one hat did. So don't ruin a good thing. Can't wait to see how it ends.
