And yes, Dwight is hilarious. But Michael has the best one liners, I think. He's such a freaking idiot.
Yes he definitely does I don't think I could ever function with a boss like that! And I love Jim's facial expressions, and how he always plays with Michael, and somehow he never even realizes it
Just wait till you see Tim in the original, Heather. Tim's brilliant - his pranks on Gareth (original Dwight, btw) are so juvenile!

I do love the original so much. Martin Freeman is perfect as Tim, and his ongoing conflict with Gareth is always great to watch.

Another perfect example is when Tim and Gareth are given the puzzle to work out together during staff training day of how a farmer will take a fox, a chicken and a bag of grain across the river, when he can only go across with one at a time. The result? Tim and Gareth having another stupid argument:

Oh, you have no idea how much I've been looking forward to this. I've been a fan of him in the Office for years, and have thought he would be a perfect Bilbo (along with a million other internet users) for just as long. His face, his deadpan comic timing, his ability to play the kind of loser that everyone loves, he was just born to play Bilbo, I think. So glad the filmmakers clearly thought the same thing, going so far as to arrange a schedule for him so he could play two iconic characters at the same time! Brilliant!

I wasn't super huge on the original office nor the American version. I don't think either is particularily funny and I love dry humour. I preferred Extras.

I've never watched Robin Hood, apart from the first ep. I was a bit skeptical, but maybe i was just suffering from Doctor Who withdrawal at the time to pay attention to any other saturday tea-time drama. I'll have to give it and Merlin another chance.

And in answer to your question Mordred, the next xmas special of Doctor Who will be on xmas day in the uk, with the us showing hopefully not long after (the last one was broadcast the day after, actually), and the first half of the new series is expected to start sometime in either late march or early april. Apparently, they're going to film the first two eps in Utah! Interesting way to begin, i think!

Robin Hood is quite good! You should watch if, if only for the first season alone. It really does a good job of the classic story updated. Now, it's not updated as drastically as they did Sherlock, of course! It really just amounts to come anachronisms, but they really don't seem out of place.

It lags a bit in the second series and ends in a very strange way, in regards to the Robin Hood legend. I've yet to see the third series, but I get a feeling it didn't get much better from series 2. But series 1 is really good! I own the DVDs and I've probably watched it 3 times or so.

Just stumbled on this Canadian series, Little Mosque on the Prairie. So cool! Why don't any US channels show Canadian shows? Why don't we get CBC? Ugh...

Wish I'd discovered it sooner. It should've been nominated in the BTVSAT.

Excellent! The best aspect of the new series is that, especially with series 5, is that it strikes the perfect balance between having completely new and different stories almost every episode that can be enjoyed on their own and yet also having a really good, cleverly constructed arc each series, so catching any episode you can is what the new series was made for, really. With the Moffat era, it seems that he's now setting up an arc-within-an-arc after the number of questions the series 5 finale left unanswered. I can't wait for series 6 to begin!
