CHERNOBYL was a great series. Horrible event, but a great depiction of what happened. The last episode was the clincher.

I finished episode three but I'm not loving it like others seem to. It's kind of slow for me and I'm not connecting to any of the characters (but maybe that's the point?).
A NEW GAME BEGINS
(squealing noises)
Started watching Barry last night. Two episodes in.
So far so good. Don't know if it's Must Watch Television yet, I'll wait until the end of S1 to make that assessment.
Author of The Road to the Dark Tower, Stephen King: A Complete Exploration of His Work, Life, and Influences and The Dark Tower Companion. Co-editor with Stephen King of the anthology Flight or Fright.
Dead To Me..............loved it. Highly recommend, other here have also. Great TV
Wish List:
Any of the following flatsigned or inscribed-
It, Shining, Salem’s Lot, Mr. Mercedes, The Stand
Brother ARC, Seed ARC
I actually downloaded that from my Comixology subscription and never got around to reading it. Should probably do that soon before the show is out.
I don't have Amazon Prime yet. I will probably have to get it soon with the Lord of the Rings show and Dark Tower show in development.
I also have been meaning to pick up Mr. Mercedes. It looks like it's finally been released on Blu-ray.

I actually just started Mr. Mercedes Season 1 this week. I'm about 4 episodes in and it's good, but not as good as I was hoping/expecting. It's a little slow and the production feels a little cheap. Maybe it's the lighting or something.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Really? Man, that's disappointing.

No one's excited by Infinity Train? Looks super weird and lots of fun! Check out the short film it's based on on CN's YouTube page, it's basically the pilot. Loved it.
Loved Veronica Mars back in the day. A 10 episode run is perfect for a show like that.

I want to insert the "Boo this man" Chris Rock gif as a response to these news:

These shows were perfect and their stories reached their actual endings. Why turn them into another AHS? We already have AHS.
Yes, I was wondering about The Terror one when I heard about it. Doesn't make any sense. The Terror was based on a book, but now they're turning it into an anthology series? Is it just because they liked the title? Or are they just banking off the audience from the The Terror returning? Why not start a new anthology series or something instead since it's not at all related to The Terror.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
I'd rather have anthologies inspired by single-season efforts that succeeded than try to bring back some of the cast of these ones along the lines of "hey, let's tack on a second season of Under The Dome because the ratings kicked ass! who cares if there's no reason for the story to continue?"
Trying to continue what they did with The Terror and The Haunting Of Hill House, but having to tell new stories (not cheap and cheesy sequels), is a good goal to have.
Eastasia has always taught college students to feel pride or shame according to their race.
I have hopes for The Terror's second season, but with that setting (not to mention Takei in the cast), it feels like anything they do story-wise will be overshadowed.
