John, none in my set are first printings. They’re all closer to tenth printing. That’s pretty neat you’ve still got them in shrink wrap.
I think it was a haunted house, and various 'scary' things would appear in the windows, doors, over the moon, with sounds.

I do have an old PC with a floppy drive. I use it sometimes to access my older files.
You can purchase a 3.5 floppy to usb drive for under $15. Available at WalMart, Amazon, etc..

Interesting. I would’ve thought they’d be things related to The Green Mile. Btw that’s quite a memory you have. I thought to myself “what a dumb question” after I asked, considering it was over two decades ago.

Good idea, thanks for the tip. I think I have a copy of Windows XP somewhere, too. All I need now is some boredom and free time, haha.

There is something that fees right about it....but like I said....there is something that also feels off about it.

I would not want it in my collection.....even the 10% doubt would annoy me.

I'm after a UK first edition of Christine published by Hodder, but I have noticed that some dustjackets include the price of £8.95 and others not. Does anyone know if the true first printing is with or without the price? Or did some of the run of 12,000 come both with and without the price on the dustjacket? Which one is more collectable?

My total guess here but no price = export edition and with price is true UK edition. I would look for with price no matter what

    Thanks for your answers!

I wonder if the dust jackets without the price also forms part of the 12k first print run.

I was wondering, I bought what thrift.books said was an arc of The Shining paper back. Does this exist, It looks just like the other silver 1st edition paperbacks. I only paid $12 for this and has a 30 day return so I didn't lose anything.
    Thanks in advance.

Never heard of an ARC or a paperback. They usually only do ARCs of 1st editions (for reviews) and limited editions

Thanks that's what I thought. If it's a first edition paperback I'll be happy the pictures looked great. I'll just have to wait and see what I get.

Off topic but I do own a paperback ARC of Red Dragon by Thomas Harris (for the mass market paperback edition). I also have a paperback ARC of The Passage at least I think it's an ARC, it's states not for resale and is in mass market paperback form.

RED DRAGON is a great book!

There is a small paperback version proof of THE DEAD ZONE.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
