So what's the novel with the most collectable editions? I love Salem's Lot, but damn, there are sooo many versions. How many different copy's do collectors have of each book?

U.S.A.(signed & unsigned) plus more limited to come & U.K. 1st editions plus 4 more airport editions.

"Airport edition" seems like a really random thing! Coming from a place of total ignorance here, I am curious if this was an intentional distribution effort, or a consequence of normal supply chains when there are several type of books released, or what...?

Also part of me thinks that this many versions of an initial release is absurd, but a much bigger part shouts internally "Wow what a cool bookshelf that would make!"

Yes, it is an intentional distribution effort. in the UK there is a book club called, The Paperback Book Club (UK), which releases all the normal 1st edition books, but in softcover. They are identical to the hardback. These are also sold at airport shops.

I wasn't aware of that. Is the 'Paperback Book Club' something that can be ordered from on-line? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything obvious. Do they ONLY retail through airports?

There used to be a Paperback Book Club here in the colonies too. It may still exist for all I know. I have a few King books they released, but I cancelled my membership a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

I was comparing my 2 copies of Dolan's Cadillac 1/250. To my surprise, I find that one copy had gray endpapers and the other white! I wonder which is the more common binding?

Mine has gray endpapers.

I was a member for a few years, but cancelled my membership when I started to collect hardbacks. They sent the books to your home.

I believe that would decrease the collectability considerably.

The poster can be found aftermarket for ~$75.
No need to throw a S/L Skeleton Crew away because it's missing the poster.

Nope not a cover. It’s the one exception to that rule though. I felt it should be part of the collection.

Question on the Talisman S/L Presentation state of 70 copies - since the lettered are part of the 70, if the Lettered are 52 copies, then when does the number starts and ends? Does anyone know?
