Anyone foolish enough to order one of the lettered (of 26) copies of You, Human from Dark Regions Press? Yesterday I decided to pass on it but I succumbed today and ordered one. So, I was foolish enough to order one. Anyone else?

I've never crowd funded a book before. Not sure if this was a good idea or not. I hope I don't end up regretting it.

I was wondering if you were going to get one... I held off over the price and no King sig. If it was the same price as Chrial Mad, I would have. Hope I don't regret it.

I crowd funded the Alphonse Mucha book. Really looking forward to that one.

On the Mucha book, was that the first campaign with the softcover book or the second with the hard cover?

I passed on it since it didn't contain an original King story.

I apologize if wrong place. I remember the discussion before but have been browsing too long and haven't figured out where it was. What company do you, collectors, use to insure your books? Thanks

No problem. I'm sure there's others out there but they seem to be a popular choice.

    Okay folks, I need opinions.
I have been after a Frankenstein S/L for a long time now but either they are priced way too high or they simply don't come up very often. I asked on here awhile back what people think these are worth and I was told no more than $500 which was good with me. These things are constantly listed at $900 or more. I have negotiated one guy down to $675 but I told him I'm not paying more than $500 so it's come to a standstill. I thought about countering at $600 including shipping. I have the angel on one side telling me do not do this because that's a lot of money and it's not worth that much. Then the devil on the other side is saying do it because it's the cheapest you've found in a LONG time. I know it comes down to how much I'm willing to pay but am curious as to what some others might do? Let it go, counter again, take the offer?

I paid $650 for my mine. Did not regret it. It is hard to find and I was tired of waiting. You have ALOT more SK S/l. Needs than I do. I am only missing. Plant 3. My pretty pony. And uk desperation. If you are still looking for SK s/l books ivwould use the $ for those. Do you have your favorites yet? Stand. Firestarter. Black house. Cujo.

I do have most of the SK S/L's that I personally want including those you listed(except for Black House but I don't really care to have that one and the DT series of which I won't get any of those until I have an extra $15-20,000 laying around. If I get one I would have to get them ALL. lol). I'll never be able to get every single thing there is out there so I've built my collection on my personal favorite books. I can't explain it but this one has been high on my want list for quite some time. Like you said I'm tired of waiting and if you have no regrets maybe I shouldn't either. I'll counter him I think and see what happens. It may not value any higher over the years but I don't see it de valuing either.
    Thanks for the input!

What's the rush. In my experience, patience always gets you a great deal. I got a Lettered Frankenstein for $625. My numbered cost me $400.

Want to sell me yours for $400? That's the problem, I HAVE been patient but nothing under $900 has come up(that I've seen)in a very long time and I'm afraid that if I hold out too much longer that either I won't find one at all or they'll be listed at an even higher rate. I agree $675 is too high. I told the guy that but he's not budging.

One recently sold, I think in the $500s or maybe less, but it had a bit of water damage I think. It's true that patience pays off. I've gotten many books at a steal by waiting. One will eventually come around.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and comments! I had both devils and angels on my side!
After all of this I can officially conclude this saga. I made a counteroffer one last time just to see if he would try and see things my way. Surprisingly he did! I will soon be the proud owner(FINALLY)of a Frankenstein S/L and this gal is a HAPPY one

    Hi
I have a set of prints which I received from Palavercon. Two of them are Michael Whelan DT prints and appear to be signed. Did he attend the Con and if so, are these likely to be genuine signatures?
    Thanks
