Cemetery Dance shipped this book to Jill Bauman, Alan M. Clark and Glenn Chadbourne and they each drew an original piece of art (a Remarque) in the book (Vincent Chong was unable to participate). This is the only copy in the world.
















100% of the net proceeds of this auction go to our 2011 Fundraiser at TheDarkTower.org


The fundraiser benefits The Haven Foundation. First established with the help of Stephen King, The Haven Foundation helps “ ‘greatest need’ cases would be freelance artists—writers, readers, and those in the associated publishing industry—who have found themselves unable to work due to disease or accident”.

As a courtesy, Cemetery Dance has agreed to ship the book straight from their warehouse.

It's great to see that Chadbourne used multiple colors, I haven't seen much of that in his original drawings in people's books. I like all three, but his is my favorite.

Chadbourne's remarque is stunning, in my opinion also. If this is what can be expected for the rest of the remarques that CD sold back when the book was announced, I'm almost sad I did not take the plunge, price notwithstanding.

And yes, I'm sure it will sell for much more that $300. I just like playing early while I can dream of affording it, and at the same time, do my little part to help drive the auction forward.

It is noted in the auction that Vincent Chong, the final artist for the book, was not able to participate in this "remarque party", so to speak. That's unfortunate, but not the end of the world...

The difficulties were sending the book overseas, and the timing involved. This was conceived minutes after the book was announced (with the hope it could be offered up promptly). If the winner wants to send the book to Vincent Chong-cool!. It would just add to the beauty.
