Because I don't my ps3 that much, or my 360, I've never really been into getting trophies or achievements. I also don't play multiplayer that much and unfortunately to get the platinum trophy in games that have multiplayer you have to play that. I have all ready got a bunch of arcade games where I earned all the trophies they just don't give a platinum trophy for getting them all. When it comes to the main story I'm a completist though. I love to get everything I can out of a game.

LOL pretty much the same feeling.
As soon as getting a plat starts making the game less fun, I stop. I only have them for the Ratchet & Clank games and Sly 4. Those games never seem like a grind to me.

I've started to notice that the earlier assassins creed games really suck. The designers made you go through unnecessary button presses that have now become just holding one button down in the later games. And an also given is that the graphics seems kind of blan now. When it came to finding the feathers in the previous games they made it hard by not marking them on your map. It makes it so much easier to find things now since they mark them on your map or you can buy a treasure map that marks all the locations.

Ok today is fucking awesome Rocksteady just announced Batman Arkham Knight. WITH A DRIVABLE BATMOBILE!
I'm not one of the former, I fucking LOVE that game. I'm playing the DLC for it now, actually. It has a dark, steampunk aesthetic and it's first person stealth mechanics are an absolute joy to play.
You know what sucks about not finding all of a collectible in a game. Finding 99/100 and the game doesn't mark ones that you need to find. I even went through using a guide online but I must of either not seen one in the game and thought it was collected or I skipped one in the guide. Now I'll have to spend a day going through all the locations again.
Collectibles trophies are the bane of my existence (I'm pretty sure I've ranted about them elsewhere in this thread). I wish developers would get rid of them. Sucker Punch at least had the decency to provide you with a device at the end of the game that helped you detect where the missing fragments are.

Assassins creed 2 I was collecting the 100 feathers. Turns out they do give you a little help in the pause menu. You go to your DNA tracker then in the feathers section they break it down by city and even district. So I was able to see what city and district I was missing the one feather. Only one more trophy to get and I'll have my first platinum. I just need to spend 5000 florins on escorts. Now if only there was a way to see how much I spent on them so far.

That's why I stay away from ports and emulators. I'll only play games on their original consoles. I don't mind tracking them down. That's part of the fun. You should try and pick up another Gamecube if you can. They're pretty cheap. I got mine for 12 bucks almost brand new.Well in 2007 they released a PC port of Resident Evil 4. It has since been considered one of the worst ports in the history of game. Graphically it was worse than the Gamecube version. If I recall correctly, the cutscenes played at 240x480. The controls were...the nicest way to say it is that they were fuckmothering abominable. It wouldn't be so bad if you could use a controller, but the QTEs will show only numbers - impossible to understand using a keyboard, and just as impossible using a controller. Prone to crashes, glitches, gamebreaking bugs; It was in all forms, complete and utter garbage.
Well a few days ago they released the HD edition on Steam. They decided that the best way to appeal to PC gamers it to brag that it runs at 60 frames per second and runs up to 1080p resolution. Problem is, that the game will lock itself at that framerate even if the computer can't handle it, and everything will move incredibly slowly. Controls are still complete shit, and the worst ones can't be rebound, but at least the mouse can be used to aim, even though it handles like ass. QTEs are even more difficult, since the button prompts are all over the place: X, E, V, left mouse, right mouse. And at 60fps the game suddenly speeds up and you have even less time than before to complete them, or the game won't register you pressing the rapid-tap QTEs fast enough. The game is unplayable for many, is still prone to bugs and crashes, they're deleting complains and stickying praise on the Steam community forums, tends to break the Field of View in resolutions higher than 1080.
Seriously, how the fuck to you look at the state of a game like this - especially considering this game's already terrible reputation in the PC community, and say, "yeah that's perfect, ship that shit out for twenty bucks!"?
You know, I still have a gamecube version of RE4. I played it last year, and I was on my third runthrough when the console died. I had more fun on a decade-old console version than I did this port. I mean, I beat it in the old PC version. I had the mod the ever-loving fuck out of it to get it to work and not look like ass (and quite frankly my modded version looks significantly better than this HD version), but I had to use an xbox controller and mod the button prompts in. And I just beat this one. Aside from sniper, I never touched my keyboard the entire time. The game's still fun and fresh, but playing it in this state makes me die a little inside.

So in going through my old games I noticed that the first Assassins creed game doesn't have achievements. I was curious what I had left to do in the game since I was going back with the other AC games and completing them. I loaded my game to see where I was and I was just starting memory sequence 2. EFF THAT! I don't need to complete every game I guess.
What are people's opinion on achievements/trophies for multiplayer? An example being 10,000 kills or what ever. Love them, hate them, don't care? Me I'm not a big fan of multiplayer achievements because I usually don't play it enough to earn them. It's not that I suck at multiplayer and die a ton. I just get bored with it easily especially with games like battlefield and call of duty where it requires you to play as a clan and everybody runs around like a chicken with their head cut off shooting and knifing anything that moves.
Finished Call of Juarez: Gunslinger last night. Really enjoyable, definitely my favourite of the series by far, for the addictiveness of arcade mode alone.

Yeah I have tons of games that will have incomplete achievement or trophy lists because of multiplayer. They should make it separate from the single player. For single player you get a platinum and with multiplayer give you a platinum plus or something.
