And yeah, I saw them free. I was working a club/restaraunt at the beach. The dj/bartender was a friend of mine and he also DJed for a local radio station. It was right around my birthday and he asked me if I was going to see them and I said I wish, but i can't afford it. Then he told me that I won tickets on the radio stations contest. The next night he announced that I'd won over the radio. I had entered no contest.After that if I wanted tickets to a show that station had tickets for I could win them by asking.
What I've listened to by them is exceptional - Aoxomoxoa is the album I've listened to most attentively, and a seed of love for it has been firmly planted.
That is so cool! It makes me jealous and slightly in awe...not only because of the gig, but because of the whole experience! I want to have as much fun as you one day, PLEASE.

You should really know about this if you don't already. Live Dead is infinitely superior though I like the studio stuff too and have some on vinyl.
