At the book festival in Virginia, people were already standing in line - over 200 people were in line before Stephen King finished speaking. So i sure hope they would not have you line up after he speaks. You will have to choose whether to wait in line or hear him speak.
We had to wait in line for 2 hours to get our book signed, but i would not have missed hearing him speak and get first reading of Dr. Sleep. Other people just stood in line to be first.
If there is a choice i will stay to hear the man speak! Though these are pre-signed books i am sure!?

I heard back from the Library again and she thinks that the books are going to go onsale at noon and be one per person. So, I am thinking about getting there around 9, at least trying to. Getting 4 kids out of bed, dropping two of them off at a sitters and then dealing with Boston traffic. I have to buy 5 books. Is anyone going to the Boston event able to buy an extra book? TURNS OUT BOSTON WAS A PRESIGNED BOOK SALE, NO MEET AND GREET. THERE WAS HOWEVER, NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE IN THE LINE FOR BOOKS SO EVERYONE HAD A CHANCE TO GET A FEW. BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE BAY WHILE WAITING IN LINE FOR BOOKS TOO
Here's a few photos I took from earlier today. I always love listening to him speak. I was surprised that there weren't more people there though. We ended up getting there around 10 this morning, and there weren't too many people in line yet. I think everyone that showed up prior to when the doors opened got a signed book. And I'm not sure if the room even filled up? I wonder if it was just because it was in the middle of the work day. Regardless it was still a lot of fun.
