The last sentence is puzzling and seems to confirm what you are saying.
"Holding a ticket does not guarantee entry; seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis."

They do that for movie screenings and such. They give away more tickets than capacity to guarantee a packed house. I wouldn't say double, but 25% more than capacity sounds likely.
Any idea if pre-signed books are still being distributed? No actual wording on the site about that.
SURE...They will be distributing pre-signed King books at a FREE event.
OH WAIT! Maybe King decided it is time to get rid of all those pre- signed TNLR he's had locked up in his safe...After all these years.
Nick, i saw Ms. Mod had mentioned no signing but some presigned books and she thought it would be End Of Watch

<-------------------Can't help but laugh. Nick, the guy who knows every place King will be on the Eastern Seaboard, and is very good at what he does, but wouldn't share ANY info with another fan (autograph hound) actually asks for info here to obviously obtain a "free" King signature; or better yet snag King outside the DC hotel for a few sigs, then runs to the event for the "complimentary" signed book (wait in line, go back 3, 4, 5 times until all copies are "gifted".
Things can be, and are a bit competitive around here, but I would be surprised that someone helped you when you haven't helped anyone else here.

My Facebook group had great success. One of them said if your not in line by 4am (according to what was passed out V who can get a seat.. as someone there told them) YOU ARE NOT getting in. That would suck if true. Not my kind of an event alas...
