I recently re-read One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and Girl, Interrupted back-to-back. Good times! I'm a big fan of those kind of books and movies. Anyone know similar books in the same vein?

Bears, I am trying to get through From a Buick 8 right now.
I'm about halfway in, and it just seems slow moving.
Am I wrong in feeling this way?

I know you said it was one of your favorites.

Codex did indeed start off pretty well...but I totally disliked the ending. Tried listening to China Melville's RAILSEA. Had to stop 50 minutes into it. I'll give it another try later this week. Deciding to read something from Michael Koryta. I read THE PROPHET which was an awesome book. For those of you that don't know CD ended up making a signed/limited of this book, which I am still waiting for.

Joyland. I've that I can stomach new Stephen King novels if they come in under 300 pages, so this just makes the cut.

Just finished a re-read of Other Kingdoms by Richard Matheson (Gauntlet Press uncensored version). Not one of his most popular, but I love it. It has fantasy, a touch of horror, love. There may have been someone cutting onions in the room near the end, my eyes had some kind of disturbance.
