I would, but I don't have the money for it at the moment. I really want to continue the story, however
I really like the Artemis stuff in those Path of Darkness books, but Wulfgar annoys me so much in those. It really got to me because Wulfgar is normally one of my favorite characters. He is such a sulky/whiney shithead after escaping from the Abyss, though. Granted, being in the Abyss should rightfully fuck someone up, but Wulgar's reaction was just too much for me.
There's one hole in every revolution, large or small. And it's one word long.. people. No matter how big the idea they all stand under, people are small and weak and cheap and frightened. It's people that kill every revolution.
I've always been a Jaraxle(sp?) fan, myself.
Elodin: "Tombs is for feckless twits who can't chew their own food. My boy's a Re'lar! He has the feck of twenty men!"
Kvothe: “Books are a poor substitute for female companionship, but they are easier to find.”
Simmon: ”It’s just ointment in case you get burned...but if you mix it with piss, it turns into candy.” Sim’s expression was deadpan. “Delicious candy.”
I like Jaraxle quite a bit, but I always pit him and Artemis against each other for favor in my mind and Artemis always wins out.
Jarlaxle: "Do keep ever present in your thoughts, my friend, that an illusion can kill you if you believe in it."
Artemis Entreri: "And the real thing can kill you whether you believe in it or not."
I pretty much love ever conversation the two of them have, though.

Took a break from Drizzt to read this. Or rather, I decided for the first time in a long time to tackle two books at once. I'm usually not good at that...I have a habit of picking a book and throwing the other to the wayside while I devour it. We'll see how this plays out....
^^^^^^ I fu**ing loved that book so much I read quite a few more. If you like it, his Good Omens was hilarious too. Only Neil could make the apocalypse so damn funny

Only Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, don't forget! Not that i've read it, i just know it's a collaboration of both great writers, and that i seriously need to read it (along with a ton of other Gaiman books, including American Gods, and a ton of Discworld novels, of which Pratchett is the writer).
Currently, i'm just focusing on finishing off the Faction Paradox novel that i've been reading on and off for about a year! Finished the first volume of Drizzt, Talisman and my read of Dark Tower last week, so i really need to work on finishing this!

Dodge , you need to read American Gods, one of Gaiman's best. A contemporary classic. Good Omens is excellent as well.
Yeah, well i had planned to read a lot of his work before Gaiman's ep of a certain show came on. Oh well, there's still another 3 weeks until that's broadcast at least, and i read Anansi Boys quick enough, so maybe there'll be time to read American Gods before then!

I am really enjoying it so far. I'm onlly about 50 pages into it, but Gaiman's style has really grabbed me. I'm afraid that this will be another situation where I completely drop Salvatore while I finish this one up.
American Gods is my favorite book of all time. I have probably read it more than twenty times.

AG is a great book, that one and Anansi Boys are my favorites by Gaiman.
In other news, I read all of Tuck yesterday. It was great, but I wish Lawhead woulda dragged it out a bit longer. The Count Rxinaldo part was awesome.
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."
I finished Eyes of the Dragon and now I am reading Misery.

Portents. Stories are creepy as hell and I've yet to come across a single gross out scene. It's a tribute to Charles Grant so they're all of the 'quiet horror' type.
I just started going through this..
I bought the signed edition a little while ago and have been waiting for the chance to go through these 2 volumes!
Ric, I'll be curious as to how you liked that book about Lovecraft. Joshi is one of the best resources on Lovecraft that I know.
