I'm reading Cell.
I tried to read it months ago but I got busy and never got around to it again so now I'm giving it another shot.

Reading The Day Of The Triffids which I highly recommend. It was written in 1951, but doesn't come across as dated. In many ways it reminds me of The Stand, very post apocalyptic and groups of people struggling to survive and rebuild with very differing viewpoints.
bears like it, too

I just started the Odyssey today. Great so far.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. - Edgar Allan Poe

Currently, I've started reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter, the first book of the Dexter trilogy, now a ShoTime miniseries with the same name...I enjoy the writing quite a bit so far...Dexter's personality works just as well(if not better) on paper as it does in film.
Elodin: "Tombs is for feckless twits who can't chew their own food. My boy's a Re'lar! He has the feck of twenty men!"
Kvothe: “Books are a poor substitute for female companionship, but they are easier to find.”
Simmon: ”It’s just ointment in case you get burned...but if you mix it with piss, it turns into candy.” Sim’s expression was deadpan. “Delicious candy.”
dexter so rocks!
Absolutely agreed...I've watched the series for some time now, and recently found out that it was based off of those books...so, naturally I scrambled to find the books and read those.

3/4 of the way through Bag of Bones now.
Once that's finished I intend to start Rose Madder.
Finished Locke & Key last night. Loved it! I don't think I can wait till the next installment comes out. I want to know what's going to happen now.

One of the first things we did when my wife got pregnant was to start assembling a library of books we'd want to read our child. We've already started reading to her. I'm sure it'll be a whole new kind of fun when she can comprehend it, but even now, it's fun time to spend with her.
That is such a great idea Jayson. I'm sure you've got some good one's picked out for her already.
