I'm about half way through and I'm really enjoy it. It is very well written with rather a tense story even though it's being told in a series of first person accounts. I think it's a very enjoyable read.

I picked up Skeleton Crew for $2.00 and that's what I'm reading now. I thought I'd like to have some short stories.

My name was finally called on the audio for Duma Key on Monday. I've been on the waiting list since March. So since I finished The Stand five minutes ago, I'm going to start Duma Key sometime today.

Me also, it was a great book

I'm reading a sci-fi book called The Eyre Affair, set in an alternate universe where time travel and allsorts are possible. However, people have managed not only to travel in time, but within time in books and this pyschotic villain and his gang have kidnapped Jane Eyre and are causing all sorts of havoc - its excellent!

Human kind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth.

Kootz's Phantoms is one of my real favorites, at least for the first half or so of the book. The sense of dread is almost overpowering!

I wish I could help you Beams , but it's been so long since I've read that book. I do remember what part you're talking about, though. Maybe Lisa could you, she's read it also.
