there's a thread called Worst King Novel, you should post about that in there.
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."

I am creeping through Duma Key, in between Repairman Jack novels. Currently on Crisscross. There are some amazing similarities between Wilson's "multiverse" and King's. I eager await the next issue of Long Road Home.

I loved Duma Key, it was so interesting.

One of the things I love about it is the characters of course, I can read and entire novel by another author and never even give a crap about any of the players. Not King though.

I find that that happens with most novels that I read. If they're not King, then they're not interesting enough for me to care. Most novels.

I finished Salomé by Oscar Wilde today.

I've been reading a bit of Don't Panic by Neil Gaiman when I can find time.

Great book if you're a Gaiman fan.

I haven't seen the movie, it got really bad reviews all around in the press. I'd like to see it though.

I'm nearing page 500 and I have to say that the past 40-50 pages have been fairly intense and immensely entertaining...too bad that I didn't feel this way about the book until I was 4/6 of the way through.
