Thanks for the support and feedback everyone. I really appreciate it. It was quite the experience. I mean, there is even more stuff that I left out. More details and such. But I did not want to overload anybody. If I seem to type things in the wrong way, this is partly why. It was (is) tough but I am a fighter and I don't give up. I may let my frustrations out, but I try and keep them in check. It's also why it may take me longer to get certain concepts. Of course not everything. I mean, I can have debates and talk about many subjects. Believe me, I can analyze and size up a situation. But sometimes, things just happen and unless things are clearly described to me, I just don't get it. So that's ir. That's MikeDuke. And thanks again for reading that. I encourage anyone else to read t as well. If you want. But thanks for reading this.

It’s so nice to escape into collecting, interact with friends and do other things we enjoy to remind us that there is also joy in life. I respect your vulnerability and you for all you have overcome.

Giving up is not in my nature. They said I would not recover and if I did that I would be a vegetable. That's when you could use terms like that. They said I would never walk again. They were wrong about that one too. Man I could go all night but thanks for the nice words. I once said, "you see that kid over there, he is never walking again, me, I am walking out of here."

JK, buddy. That's really something. The near death experience always makes me wonder...was that really true? Or, as Pen & Teller would say, was that your brain doing that to you? I'll opt for the afterlife explanation myself.

Yea, I don't force the near death stuff on anybody. You either believe it or not. No bigge either way.

I think there are 3 or 4 near death experiences within my extended family; I tend to take them pretty seriously. I won't criticize anyone who doesn't believe them, but hopefully anyone who might shy away from sharing such experiences here chooses to share, as you have (thanks).

That's incredible that you have had 3-4 in your extended family. Most people I tell my story to seem to have an open mind to it. But if people don't believe it, or say it was just a hallucination or a chemical reaction in the brain, I don't argue with them. I just know how close to death I really was. Pretty damn close when the doctors said that I would not recover and wanted to stop life support. But again, he I am to cause as much grief as I can .

Yea, I flatlined at midnight in the abulance as they were racing me to the hospital. Shit, I might as well tell the whole story. I am Greek Orthodox, and during Easter (which is on a different date then the American Easter)
Is when this happened. We normally go to Church three days for that. What's interesting is on Thursday I started to get bad. On Friday, which is when they depict the crucifixion is when I was really bad and racing
to the hospital. On Sat, they celebrate the resurrection and that's when I started to get a little better. Then on Sunday, I really started to improve I think. Again, I think that's the time line but it's pretty much what happened.
So go figure. The timing is something else huh?
But having two experiences is enough thank you very much .

I hear yea. And thanks again for stopping in. I know I have said a lot things that are religious in nature, and I am happy to share them. But I don't want to over do it either. TBH, I may not have gone in the direction that many people think I would have given what happened to me. It is amazing that I survived and had the experiences I did. So thanks for everybody reading this but I think that's enough. Hopefully I can start post about King and other collecting again very soon. But if anybody still has questions, I will answer them.
