Fargo is indeed great. BBT is also fantastic. I wouldn't go as far as to see it's one of the best characters in TV history though. The show is worth a watch though. I actually thought the last few episodes kind of dipped a little for me.

I really liked Colin Hanks in this. Probably better than Billy Bob Thorton

Parenthood is an amazing series that doesn't get nearly enough respect. The acting in that is tremendous.

I actually started and eventually finished "Modern Family" and really enjoyed it as each character brings something funny to the table.
If anyone is into dark and horror type TV shows then you should look into "True Detective" and "Penny Dreadful." Two new shows better then advertised.

Started watching Fargo. So far so good. I'm amazed at how well they were able to replicate the atmosphere of its film counterpart while simultaneously maintaining a fresh approach.

Billy Bob Thorton and Martin Freeman are both exceptional.

Also, are the events really based on a true story, or are the creators just being cute?

The creators, like the Coen Brothers, just being cute, in this case.

And I'm glad you're enjoying it. Completely agreed that what really amazed me about it was how much it got the film's atmosphere spot-on. It's something that I wish a lot of TV adaptations and remakes did more often - focusing more on the core elements of what made the original source material so great rather than trying to copy the exact same story.

WRN: What If? Definitely one of the better rom-coms I've seen in recent years.

I loved Fargo the show. Everyone was great in it. I am disappointed "The Bridge" was cancelled. Not many good shows on in the spring. It's not great, but not bad at all.

I was pretty sure there was a thread about The 100 but I can't find it anywhere. Anyways. The second season just ended. This show is bleak, violent and gruesome. It's for younger audiences but it goes places The Hunger Games (just an example) doesn't dare. The producers don't pull any punches and don't hide the blood, torture and I found myself cringing a few times. My only complaint is that the dialogue is a little corny occasionally. Other than that, if you've liked the YA movies like Insurgent, The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner etc. but with characters who actually get their hands dirty and make tough choices, I highly suggest this. Season two ends with what is basically a war crime by today's standards.

I watched 12 Monkeys last night to refresh my memory before I binge watch the TV show this Friday night (I'm working a night shift). I'm expecting great things. I also have Fargo and then starting the show. A local video place has unlimited rentals for $10 a month. I'm not sure what their profit margin is on that but hey, no complaints.

I read an article recently on how The 100 is one of last year's best new shoes. I hope to start it soon.

I just finished Fargo a few days ago, excellent show. The only thing I didn't like was
    Spoiler:
the anticlimactic ending. I wanted Lester to receive a comeuppance proportionate to his many crimes.
