Nope, it isn't
I went with Chan Wook Park. While Jackson gave us one of the greatest trilogies in the history of cinema, Chan Wook Park's filmography is a lot more consistent. Lady Vengeance and Thirst are superb examples of great storytelling - especially the latter where the 'twist' works in service to the narrative, and not the other way around.

I love Guy Ritchie, but I feel his films have fallen off considerably since Lock Stock and Snatch.
I loved Park's Oldboy, but I've yet to see any of his other films. Smith has made 2 very good films, the rest of his filmography is pretty average.
It doesn't matter anyway because Peter Jackson took me on a 3 year journey that I will never forget. Despite what people say about him, he took 3 books that most people thought were impossible to film and made 3 masterpieces. I know many might disagree, but there's no denying the success of those films.
Also, Heavenly Creatures is an underrated gem.

Wow, this one is tough for me.
I love Kevin Smith... but honestly have always thought he was a better writer than director.
Actually went with Peter Jackson on this one. Not an easy choice.

Yeah, I've been meaning to pick them up. I just noticed that they released the Vengeance Trilogy on Blu-Ray (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance/Oldboy/Lady Vengeance)
If I didn't already own Oldboy, I would think about buying it.

Ritchie hasn't made anything that was really artistic. Hopefully he and Smith get left behind.
What about Snatch ? That is an amazing movie.

Lock, Stock... , Snatch, Revolver??? Those are all great films (and extremely well made). They have such a creative and distinct style to them. Not to mention the cinematography in RevolverIt's outstanding.

Just my personal opinion, but it seems to me Ritchie's making the same movie over and over.
My problem with Ritchie is that he never steps out of his comfort zone, most of his movies are too alike in terms of tone and theme.

Voted for Chan-wook Park. Oldboy's probably one of my favorite films.
