I dont feel its possible to have a dark tower movie and have it be done right. I scream enough about movies leaving things out, or skimming on plot details, it would be a disaster to make a dark tower movie, at least to the die hard fans. All the actors who could even pull off some of these roles and do them any justice are all too old or dead... To contradict all of that, and in fantasy land, I'd pick Lee Marvin as Cort at least. Besides most that have been mentioned previous.

If Adam Sandler goes near that movie... please, just don't say that again... please.
Eddie is going to be a very hard part to cast. He's gotta be a wise-ass, yes for sure, but he's also got to show internal conflict, love, anger, awe and courage. Sandler couldn't pull that off in a million years.
I'm sticking with James Franco for Eddie. Or maybe Emile Hirsch.

I'm not reading thru 52 pages....but the entire time I was reading the DT books I used Wanda Sykes voice for Detta/Odetta/Susannah. I was picturing a younger Haley Joel Osmont as Jake. Of course Eastwood as Roland.
But if a movie is ever made I hope they go with unknowns.
