"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
I know... hideous...
Excited to add Gwendy signed proof and Sleeping Beauties signed proof.
Will try to figure out the new process for posting pictures.
If anyone have one or know how I can get my hands on a Mr Mercedes press kit, please PM me.

Maybe a bit strange to release the Film Art book before the movie is released.
So I kept myself from looking too much inside, but it looks promising. Movie first!
Nice! What's the concept art / movie stills ratio? I've seen some art books recently where a lot of the material are just movie screenshots, which is odd. Hoping here it's not the case, I'd love to see some early-early sketches and layouts there. And maybe even hints about the future films?
I skipped a little bit through the book and there is a lot of art / sketches inside as well!
I don't know if there are hints about future films inside. Not planning to read the book before the movie is out
Whee! I've been looking for one of these for years. And this one is in just about perfect condition - doesn't even look like it's ever been read. The elusive purple topstained Vampire Lestat.
I love staining, but top-staining is a lost opportunity - why not stain all 3 sides? It's quite a nice effect.
Top-staining gives me a "nice! ...oh..." let down feeling.
It seems I'm miles above the surface of the Earth
I can see across the whole of London and beyond
I only had time the other day for a quick post in the CD thread thanking those involved. I will follow up here with what I like to call The Further Adventures Of Gwendy And Her Trip To Visit Papa Richard.
"Thanks, but no, it isn't a cowboy hat. It's a fedora. And yes, Indianna Jones is still socially relevant."
That is so awesome, Chris! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!
[QUOTE=jnbball;1070663] Yep, it is. I think I first heard of it in Detwiller's (?) thread. Something to the effect Anne Rice was not happy the book first came out without top stain, so they added it. I guess it is considered a variant. And hard to find. I feel lucky I was still up in the middle of the night when the ABE "book you are looking for" notice came.
Congratulations everyone!
I've a huge news to share: I was invited by Sony to travel to Miami, USA and attend the avant premiere of The Dark Tower next Tuesday and interview Idris Elba I still can't believe it!

I think it's unlikely. Stephen King already has seen the movie, and he generally shies away from red-carpet events. I'd still bring a book or 3, as you never know.
