Matthew McConaughey briefly speaks about the Christianity aspect of The Dark Tower.
Mostly about Gold, but a bit about The Dark Tower, too:
Matthew being hush-hush could very well turn out to be a positive. In fact, i'd like to think i'd be worried if he reveals too much about what his take on Walter is up to.
Why is McConaughey's name first?
In the village all the children running home
- they sing hymns that haunt them when they're all alone.
Looks fan-made.
None of the stuff at the bottom of the poster makes any sense.
Author of The Road to the Dark Tower, Stephen King: A Complete Exploration of His Work, Life, and Influences and The Dark Tower Companion. Co-editor with Stephen King of the anthology Flight or Fright.
Yo, fernandito!
I've wondered if we can (maybe even "should"?) expect a "Batman" type outcome with The Dark Tower. That is to say...a film where McConaughey's Walter ends up with more or equal screentime compared to Elba's Roland.
I can see McConaghey having a bigger role in this first Dark Tower movie, if only to help it bring in audience, but his role would be more in and out as the series goes on. Walter does have a bigger role in The Gunslinger than we originally know about as we read the book. I still think the scenes between Walter and Roland will be kept to a minimum.

Agreed, however from what I've read about the film thus far, I have a strong gut feeling we'll get a hefty dose of MiB before we even catch a glimpse of Roland.
I'm sure by the time credits rolled the scales will have been evened, but I'm expecting MiB's screen time to be front loaded. Remember that we're essentially starting in New York before the film eventually incorporates Mid World.
Hopefully. I want those few moments between them to be tense af. I'm really excited to see what McC has in store for us. His comments that his version of Randall gets high off of exposing hypocrisies has me all giddy.
Way to close the thread accidentally Fernando
And does that make me Man In Black? I get high off exposing hypocrisies too! I learned it from South Park!
