Roland: "Incredible! I am reminded of Mejis."
    Jake: "What's Mejis?"
Roland: "A tale to spin for another time. What do you call this food?"
    Jake: "They're tacos. Good huh?"
    Roland: "Tah...koze?"
Jake: "Yeah! Tacos from Taco Bell"
Roland: "Tah-koze from Tah-ko Bell"...he muttered before taking another bite.

No, he's Jake's friend at school. He also plays Henry in the new It too.

Since this story apparently involves him having the horn then the rice dance could become the macarena.

I can somewhat see your point, Johnny.

(Remember that Eddie describes the sandalwood revolvers as "prehistoric" in regards to their size. Suffice it to say, I do not believe he had primitive protozoa in mind.)

While I did not expect cinematic Roland's six-shooters to be in the league of the BFR (a comically oversized weapon designed to fire rifle-caliber ammunition), something akin to the Colt Buntline in dimensions (a firearm with a lengthier barrel but otherwise normal proportions, basically) did not seem unreasonable.

That aside, I give the film armorers credit. They could have chosen the path of least resistance and easily gone with a stock Colt Single-Action Army plus a few embellishments/engravings. Even pistol neophytes will recognize this make and model...it is to Westerns as the AK-47 is to pretty much any action film set after 1947. Additionally, the octagonal barrel is a fairly distinct feature compared to the typical cylindrical design you see ninety-nine point ninety-nine percent of the time. Oh yeah, one more thing: the color of the gunmetal sells me the idea that this pair was forged from a melted-down sword.

At the end of the day, though, a gun is nothing without it's wielder, so I am ultimately more interested to see how well Elba pulls off his own stunts with Roland's steel companions in hand. When it comes to that, at least a normal sized shooting iron has ease of handling going for it.

I'm good with the guns; not so much that Elba's fingers are inside the trigger guards while displaying them in that fashion.
