Wow, really? The trailer looked silly to me when I first saw it, but now everyone and their mother is raving about it.

It's a well-made film though. Don’t be expecting tons of scares, it's more of a thriller.

It is excellent isn't it? So many relevant issues are addressed, racial/male-female/technology taking-making jobs/the US-Russia dynamic/which bathroom someone must use. Amazing film! I wish Taraji P. Henson had been nominated for best acterss.I saw that earlier today. An absolutely fantastic film!!!
I'll be seeing all the best picture nominees, but man, I'm not looking forward to most of them. I can enjoy slow movies (Meet Joe Black, for example) but they have to be damn good. Manchester By The Sea looks so. slow. Lol

Not to pick on you too much, but is is too hard to just say what you mean? So far, I've searched for "Rotten Tomatoes" to get to the website; searched on "Get Out," clicked on critics reviews, scrolled until I see a negative review, and ... I'm supposed to LOL b/c why exactly?
Why not just say "Armond White panned the move for the following reasons, and here's why I think he's off base"? Or at least put a goddam link to what you are talking about.

Very early screening of GxRxAxNxIxTxE MxOxUxNxTxAxIxN (take out the x's)
Look up IMDB for the cast and synopsis, I don't want to put any key words in here in case the people involved with the movie are checking the internet to see if anyone is breaking their confidentiality clause. Not that I plan on revealing anything anyway, just my basic thoughts.
The movie was good. Not great, but again I saw an early screening, so a lot of the VFX wasn't done, coloring wasn't finished, etc. The story was the same thing we've seen before, bunch of guys with different personalities and from all walks/stages of life are together up against a big task. The version I saw clocked in around two hours fifteen minutes, and I felt they could have cut about 15-30 minutes out of it, especially a lot of the family scenes. A little too much drama, not enough action. And there was a handful of characters that sort of blended in together, when each one should have been distinctly separate.
Anyway, for this version I'd give it a three out of five. I'll watch it again when it's finished, but not in theatres.

I knew exactly who he was talking. I don't think he was trying to piss anybody off by being coy. If you don't know who Armond White is, please Google him. He's not a movie critic. He's a troll disguised as a professional critic. I have no problem with people giving negative reviews, but when somebody constantly gives bad reviews to well reviewed films just to cause a stir, there's a problem.
Rotten Tomatoes actually banned him for a little while.

Holy shit. I'm shocked. I apologize for assuming everybody has heard of him. He's huge on the internet. You guys must not read a lot of movie reviews. Rotten Tomatoes literally turned off comments on reviews because of him.
