I enjoyed Ford v Ferrari, but it's just such a paint by numbers film. It's the kind of film Hollywood was pumping out in the 90s that would always get BP noms. There's just nothing challenging about it, which is fine, but I need a little something more nowadays.
It's not my favorite of the decade, but it's in the discussion.
Yes it is.

Also, Web would HATE Ghost Story. HATE!
If I'm wrong, I will stop coming to this site. No joke.

I love Parasite, but one of the best films ever made? Y'all are smoking some bomb shit!
Matt - I've had Ghost Story on my queue for a while but haven't gotten around to it. I'm tempted to watch it now just for the comparisons going on right now.
Absolutely, why not?
IMDb has it at #22 all-time: https://www.imdb.com/chart/top/
Letterboxd has it at #1: https://letterboxd.com/visdave34/lis...feature-films/
I am ok with it winning the Oscar this year, a couple others could have also. One of the best ever is a stretch though.
Wish List:
Any of the following flatsigned or inscribed-
It, Shining, Salem’s Lot, Mr. Mercedes, The Stand
Brother ARC, Seed ARC
This! I enjoyed it, appreciate it, and can see it for its successes, but one of the best films of all time? Absolutely not. I still stand by my thought that people won't really remember Parasite 10, 20 years down the road. I'd be really surprised if it ends up attaining "classic" status.
Do people ever talk about The Artist anymore?
How often is The King's Speech brought up in movie conversations (even though that actually was my favorite of the BP noms that year)?
Is anyone putting Argo on their best-of-the-decade lists?
Parasite is having a buzzy moment now, but give it a minute and it'll fade.
Also this.
And this.

I don't remember Argo or The Artist at #22 of IMDb Top 250 ever. Parasite is a once in a generation film.
People are high on Parasite right now. Let's bookmark this and come back in a year or two.
