I'll apologize to Jean for this, but I gave it a 3. Not really all that impressed, which is sad, because I LOVE The Talisman.

Gotta agree with Jean, I read Black House, thought it was brilliant, currently a third of the way through the Talisman, and so far, I like it, but I just don't find it as compulsive to read as either BH or The Dark Tower. 5 for BH.

Along with It, this is my favourite Stephen King book. It doesn't lose anything on a reread, which I think is always a great quality in a book. It's just...I don't know, I thought it wrapped up better than The Talisman even though it was a cliff hanger of sorts, and it was darker and generally more gripping for me. I love everything about the story, pace, style, characters...I mean wow, can you top Wolf?...Oh hello, Henry Leyden!! Absolute genius

    I gave it a 5

Had to give this a 1. I was extremely dissapointed in it after really liking THE TALISMAN. It's been a while since I read it, but I remember it seeming to be way over-written, cliched and just very hard to read. Another book I have to re-read someday and see if it's better the 2nd time around.

    4. Was great. Not as good as Talisman though. It almost gets a five just for Henry though. One of my top 3 favorite characters in all of King's books.

Not as great as Talisman, no doubt.
A mixed bag book, great to read about Jack, nice little DT nuggets but kind of a left down. Good book though.
Have you read about the real fisherman though? That is some crazy horrible stuff.

The poll has closed. Black House has earned a FAS (final average score) of 4.257575758 or 85.15%, placing 1st (winner) in this bracket. It will be moving on to Round 2. In 2009, Black House placed 2nd (runner-up) with a FAS of 4.310810811, so it lost 0.053235053 (-1.23%) this time.
