I agree. Though I'd rather have a "meh" trailer and be surprised by the movie, then have an awesome trailer and see the movie only to find out all the best jokes where in the trailer. For what it's worth though I sorta think all of Paul Feig's trailers are kinda "meh", even for the one's that are good.
The thing that I think is the strangest, is that the opening of the trailer plays like this is a sequel, when it isn't in any way.
The absolute vemon I'm seeing everywhere regarding just the trailer alone makes me think this movie is going to be absolutely horrible. I haven't had high hopes for it since I heard it was announced. I've got a feeling it's going to be a lot like Bridesmaids and I'm going to hate it.
I wouldn't buy into the "venom" most of that is people that want to hate it.
Sausage Party looks really good. That last scene where they are referencing Saving Private Ryan was great. I almost lost it when the can of soup is putting the noodles (his guts) back into the can and the cookie is aimlessly wandering around looking for the other half of the cookie. Good stuff.
So here is a 7 hour and 20 minute long trailer (shot in one take) for a film that will be 30 days long when completed. Not entirely sure you can call it a film in the usual sense, more like a performance art piece that is being filmed. I watched about a minute of it but man, what audacity! Supposedly the film will be shown once in 2020 in a global screening and then destroyed. It's called Ambiancé.
