She really can't help who she is--and there are moments where Tyrion feels sorry for her in the books, so it is believeable. The whole no one is wholly good or bad really comes off well in the TV...

I won't give it away but there is a twist. Let's just say that sometimes people you think are dead, it isn't what it appears to be on the surface. It is a plot device he uses more than once.
