Full disclosure: This is my auction. I thought I'd try and see first if there's any interest in the set before breaking them up and focusing on where 95% of the appeal presumably is, i.e. vols. 1 -...
Each set -- both set 1 and set 2 -- had ten books in it (also available were two slipcases to hold five books each). The finalized authors total nine, so the third series is, in fact, 9/10...

Seems awfully spendy to me, but I don't have the proof mania that some of you have... ;-)

I'm probably more paranoid than most, but aside from (as has been pointed out) the box costing $2K, I'd never bid on such an item and would, in fact, find a standard copy of far more interest.

Just as notification for those who weren't aware: Otto Filip, or filip1 on eBay who many of us apparently have had problems with, is also Realms of Fantasy books: ...
I had a horrible, oddly surreal experience with Otto Filip, or filip1, a half-year ago or so. Someone above called him a rude piece of work -- I agree that that is putting it lightly.
I agree that the price was fair -- not a great deal, but a fair price. As it is my King Holy Grail, I track those S/L STANDs with some regularity when they appear, and zelig is correct that could...
Was going to put that one on my Watch List -- for fun, mostly, not because I can afford it right now -- and it's already gone. Someone sure snagged a nice example of that edition.
What do we think of this? My understanding of recent King signings is that all the seller (who has a very low feedback number, btw) guarantees may not be possible. Plus, I'm wary to buy anything...

How CD is getting these insane bids is beyond me.

That's the typical going price for that volume, give or take a bit… Which makes it so odd that this one's going for more than four times that.
There's a Gift Edition of INSOMNIA on eBay, offered by CD, going for $225...can't figure it out.
Yeah, that's unfortunate that this one does not. Oh well, that's what you get for being a little late to the party.
Yeah I got one as well. 2011 I think it was. The guy had loads of them for sale at the time. Good price they were too.
Hmm, gotta admit, that would look nice in my office/library. If...

Other than being what appears to be a 2nd printing (of, as well, a later edition of the work), is the consensus that the sig is good?
Went for under $100. I suppose a 2nd printing of a...
