I don't exactly understand the reasoning behind have a signed limited edition of a book signed a second time, is there any real value in that?
Expect anywhere from $25-$50 shipping charges from Europe to the US, it depends heavily on the weight of the package, over 4 pounds and you will be paying the higher price.
Sounds like it will be an interesting sale, Brian. And big.
In relation to the DJ covers, if you have an extensive collection or plan on having one I highly suggest you go with a roll of which ever ones you plan to get. This insures that you will have the...
Thanks for the insight all.
LOL Alan I got that part.
But is it a gift edition set, a limited, what? Although Grant already did a limited gift/artist edition of these books.
What is this set considered to be? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stephen-King-Peter-Straub-The-Talisman-Black-House-Limited-Edition-/111083030133?pt=US_Fiction_Books&hash=item19dd108675
The ones I have easily cover the whole DJ and all I have to do is cut them off if they are a bit too long, I am with TN here, hate seeing a DJ that is not fully covered.
What I want to know is why do so many people put DJ covers on DJs that are too small? They don't cover the entire DJ.
There are some smaller very very early BCE's of the DoubleDay books, but those were only done very early, most of the BCE's I come across these days are the same size as the Viking books, although I...
Yes that is what I meant Needful.
It's just boards all the way around, there is no 1/4 cloth around the binding. That cloth is just an addition on top of the boards anyway, it doesn't do anything other then decorative, that I know of.
Not sure if yours is a BCE or not, but the one I recently (in the past 2 years) received from the Stephen King Library book club has a dust jacket that is priced, the shoe on the spine is in fact...
That is exactly like my mid-90's BCE from SKL. Sorry. :(
How do I know it is from the mid-90's? Cause when I first got into the club back then I put book stickers in my books... they aren't worth...
We just (couple weeks ago) had a discussion about those DJ, the consensus was since they are repurposed BCE DJs they aren't real 1st printings... that was just what most people decided.
When SK does personal things, that is how he signs his name. That S looks fine to me. But, I am no expert.
I wouldn't think that just sitting The Stand on a shelf is going to hurt the box any, it is wood, even pine isn't going to get dented or scratched if it is just sitting on a shelf.
Now if you have...
Barlow, just a tip. All of the newer- 90's forward- BCE's that I have are the same size as the trade editions, that is for the US BCEs no idea if this applies to UK BCEs. Just for your knowledge.
2 weeks ago you couldn't snag one off ebay for less then $160, 2 days ago one ended at $135. From my watches in the past couple months average is around $140, only due to the 3 that went for $160,...
