Upper Deck and their tons of variations, mini-prints, etc. It was so much easier as a kid when a set of Topps Baseball for the season was 792 cards and that was it.

Didn't someone else get sent #1 of another book in this series? If so, then this pair is less desirable since you cannot make a set unless you track it down. But again, the books are selling, so...

Mathematically speaking, #1 is no more rare than #2, #3, #500, etc. I never saw the big deal in why a low number is preferred over a high one, unless you have an attachment to a specific number.

I doubt he will personalize it at a public signing. It is usually a signature and then move along.
