Shrinkwrap should add no value really as you can go to any office supply/copy center and for .75 cents they will shrink wrap almost anything, there really is no way to know that it is the original...

I would not worry about having a working clock but I definately would replace regularly or remove the battery as they will eventually leak and corode the insides and once that happens it will never...

I agree with Bob, definately much less than a comparable Michael Whelan published cover. Price might be high but it's very subjective, Ned Dameron got close to that amount for the remarques which...

The remarques for DT7 were sold directly by Michael Whelan so everyone that got one knew what they were getting, they do show up for sale once in a while (although not any lately).

I have a first and a second signed at Palavercon by Phil hale.

I took a whole suitcase full of books that had work by Hale, Berry and Whelan. Insomnia, Black House, Talisman and all the DT books...

I do not like the PC copies myself, the only PC's I own are of Poppy Z Brite books and they came directly from Poppy. Otherwise I avoid them.

I don't know any story about the evolution of his signature, but I checked 4 of the books I had signed by him at Palavercon and the signature you posted is consistant with all mine.
