Same. It looks like a soft reboot, which would be disappointing. You don't want the characters spending 45 minutes figuring out what the audience already knows.

So this is a sequel to the 2018 Halloween movie that completely eliminated all of the previous sequels before it that was made in addition to the Rob Zombie re-boot of the same franchise?

I have to say, that looks fun as hell. The focus on the kids is a bit iffy, and there's obvious influence from Stranger Things, but if they can keep it light and entertaining, I'm in.
