Far be it for me to speak for CD but I believe BJF has a problem with the proofs being sold before the book has been published. Maybe not so much after it's published? Again, I don't know but maybe...

All I know is from what a recent CD auction on ebay said about them. I did not win that auction or even bid on it so the copies I have are not those.
