That's a good point. I was thinking of the Snyderverse as just those films he was directly involved with - everything prior to JL. But it's true that those later films are in the same continuity.

Executing Zod in Superman #22 was one of the deepest character conflicts of the era. That movie didn't go to sufficient lengths to properly deal with it. The old Superman movies were dogged by an...
I always knew he was a good actor, tho, and BB was already a good set up.
Whereas MoS stinks in so many ways.

I did qualify that with "to me". The second time I meant a general definitive interpretation for everyone.[/QUOTE]
Oh, I love splitting semantics! It's not that the character...

I don't know, maybe that contributed; I'm just talking about comic books themselves, the stories they were used for compared to film and television, which at the same time were regarded other ways.
They had "mystery men" before "superheroes." Batman was very early.
Robin is a great example to illustrate the cross currents I'm talking about, the way people had of looking down at the audience...
Hard to avoid anyway now, unless you want to cut off a topic of Batman movies up to DKR -- once you let in Superman, the door's open naturally for all of the Super Friends.
Truest adaptation...
I stood in line on opening day. It certainly was a different time for comic book movies.
Well, if it was possible make a version of the Riddler akin to the Ledger version of the Joker, (it might not be) he would still have to be basically a ham anyway. I mean, over-the-top campy à la...
I never liked Justin Timberlake, until I did. He's actually got some acting talent, and The Riddler is probably more within his skill set than Batman is genuinely within Affleck's.
Oh, it's just like the comics.
Once in a while a bright team of artists appear with a story that shows just how fine the concept of a particular title can be.

I'm also disappointed that the REAL message was so hard to pick up on, even after they went to all the trouble of building that huge anti-Mitt Romney conspiracy. :P
Well, maybe "too long" weren't the right words. I was just trying to say that I know what Ricky was talking about. Perhaps, though, that "something... more" we wanted was simply Heath Ledger. Or...
It's kind of long, seeming lacking and even dull in parts, but then comes the ending. That's not just emotionally intense but also pretty involving story. The plot holds off on twists until they...
Not necessarily. It wouldn't be right for him to let events limit his creativity, but there's no good in being narrow-minded. They just need to be wise about new directions.
I think that not including the Joker can work. I agree, though, that if they did want to use him, it'd be alright to recast... just not Topher Grace.
