There is a bit of satire to it, for sure, in places, some funny or light moments, but it's a very tense and dark film for the most part.
Didn't even know it was a book until the credits started. Excited to check it out now!
Absolutely stunned and floored by Leave the World Behind on Netflix. You all know I don't really ever write about movies I watch because, I dunno, I find it hard to get my thoughts and more...
The new Hunger Games was fantastic and the best of the series! Highly recommended.
"you can have very nice and deep conversations with them" ?
You're kidding.. Right ??[/QUOTE]
Not at all. If you treat them with empathy, they reciprocate. Well at least the well-built...
Saw it today, not a 10, but not a 1. A very solid movie. If you've played the game Detroit: Become Human, it's very much a similar message and I did empathize with the AI in that game as well....
Seeing it tomorrow, I love original sci-fi and I really loved Her which dealt with humanizing AI. I don't know why that would be controversial. I've chatted with chatbots and you can have very nice...
Where was the CGI bad?
I've seen the comments about the bad CGI but I didn't really notice anything too different from any Marvel movie. Shrug.
I thought The Flash was a lot of fun. Some incredible cameos. But also a really good time travel story with a touching and heartfelt center.
You could probably just put it into spoilers, but I'm not sure I'll get to it, not any time soon, I knew it was based on a novel, but I only found out about it from this movie.
I’m curious about that. I was intrigued by the premise but the ending felt kind of anticlimactic to me. How was the book different?
That's what I enjoyed about it. It wasn't fake-sounding, it was all in an effort to have it feel as real as possible. That's why it's a New Yorker interview and not a New Jerseyan.
I’m thinking Aftersun will end up very close to the top of the year for me.
I'm really sad to hear that because I really liked Tar. Not the best of the year or anything but high up there.
The Menu is dropping soon on HBO Max, I believe.
I will be surprised if it doesn't make my Top 35 movies of 2022.
I apologize in advance but Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe is hilarious. I haven't laughed this hard in a while.
Or surrealist or abstract art.
