Thanks for the tip guys! I never thought of using eBay for Brodart protectors before. Lords knows I'm on there more than enough already anyway...

I just discovered the other day that my copy of Dolores Claiborne is actually a BCE too (no price on the DJ).
Ahh, Burgertime.... :)
I will pile on- that sig is legit.
I have a third printing and it still has the afterward.
Unless it was advertised as a Nick & Dent (and priced as such), then no, I don't think you are being unrealistic at all..
The 2nd edition, definitely.
Sorry to hear about your layoff. I have a few more for you:
Carrie 451-E6410 First Printing April 1975
The Stand 451-E9013 $2.50 First Signet Printing January 1980
Creepshow 452-25380-2 $6.95...
Definitely a first. A BCE wouldn't have the price on the inside DJ flap, or state First Edition on the copyright page.
I think the stamp question is subjective.
Sig looks good to me, goheat.
:lol:Man, I haven't seen Get Smart in ages.
Boo!
Damn. Yeah, the copy I'm looking at spine's lettering almost looks white (or could just be light yellow). I never would've noticed that. Thanks guys!
Whoops, wrong thread!
Mostly depends on the book for me, put put me down for the "inscriptions" camp. The newer books will rarely have inscriptions these days. Likewise you rarely see older books with just signatures...
