The Parker novels I was referring to were those by Richard Stark.
I like the Joe Kurtz novels okay, but I much prefer the Parker novels (of which they are obvious homages to), so I cant put them near the top of my list.
Oof, that’s tough given how many genres he writes in. But I would say my personal favourites are Hyperion, Drood, and The Terror. But that leaves out many fine books like Ilium, Crook Factory, Summer...

I'm actually relieved by this response. I'm glad the delays are due to Simmons still working on it, rather than a perceived lack of public interest by the publisher.
