LoL...Calla Bryn Sturgis, come for the festival under the pavilion, stay for the kidnappings.
My take is that the people of the Callas were just normal farm-folken, and like people who live under ...
Of course she did :) She knew it was no longer a necessity. She had moved beyond it.
My mistake, I did know we agreed on the loops, just the reason behind them, we disagree ...heh
I can understand thet, but I don't agree. While the wolves came and took 1/2 of each set of twins that were of a certain age, it didn't really change the over-all way of living. It mayhap made for a...
Not sure what you meant by this. :cowboy:
I'm feeling REALLY sheepish at this moment, but thank you VERY much for taking the time to post all of that. It truly ends much of the debate that has been going on for such a long time over all of...
The only reason I jumped in full on with my theories was because I just finished book 7 all of three days ago. As it is I am flipping through my Concordance books so much they are dog-eared already.
Roland spends a large amount of time in The Gunslinger and the next six books ignoring messages to him, subliminal and overt. Well less ignore than ascribing to them a narrow interpretation to align...
Some, gunslnger, live on blood. Even, I understand, the blood of young boys.
May he not be spared?
Yes.

I already typed out the portion at the end of the DT VII where Roland goes through the last door, and appears to be back at the start of his journey where we readers joined him (and my fingers are...
I read this thread and thought it would be good to put down the end thing everyone's talking about so that it could be referred to.
Here is the end of the Dark Tower, Roland of Gilead that was,...
Yes, I think that was the point. That Sheemie was special (no not that way) on many levels of the Tower, even if he didn't realize it on any of them. Ka is fate, and fate is often full of irony.
I personally think that the "moving on" was more important to the first, older print of The Gunslinger. The whole book is about the reasons, culminating in the palaver between Roland and Walter....
In the audiobooks it's Cal (like Cal-tech) uh han, but Calla is pronounced Call (like a phone call) uh.
Thankee, sai.
I always saw her as the face of reality in Roland's tet. Jake was Rolan'd child-side, forced to grow up fast, betrayed by someone he loved, Eddie was Roland's human side, the "screw...
Because in the book says Bryan Smith looks just like Sheemie (not in those words of course...lol). Also the Concordance 2nd book list him as Sheemie's Twinner under the SK entry.
Good points, all.
I think that This could be true, but for the intervention of ka. I believe that the reason Jake #2 had conflicting memories was because Jake was necessary to the outcome of...
