I cannot recommend this book highly enough....
I like Muiler's narration, but it does get a little tiring after a while - his sometimes-over-dramatic tone does not always make for easy listening.
I've also been taking another journey to the...
Yep, McCammon’s the real deal, and the Corbett books are some of his best work. Enjoy the rest of the series, Brian.
I’ll be starting on King of Shadows as soon as I finish up my current reads -...
Love that book and series, best series ever!
I loved the first book. I'm onto The Queen of Bedlam now!
It's an outstanding series. Volume 8 is out next month.
I'm currently...
Taking another journey to The Dark Tower.
I feel somewhat ambivalent about the novels written during King's "novels don't need a satisfying ending" kick. CK was one of those, I think.

^^ This.
Read it last year for the first time and I really enjoyed it.
I'm about 3/4 of the way through now, and it's *very* good. I remembered it being good, but not this good.

Red Dragon, by Thomas Harris. It’s a reread, but I’ve only read it once about 25 years ago. I remember liking it, but there are a lot of details I’ve forgotten. The writing holds up.

I’m reading RP2 now - also listening in audio. Liking it so far.
I managed to pick up a signed copy from B&N over Thanksgiving, too, which I’m pretty stoked about.
Finshed The Time Machine; now reading Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith, the fifth Cormoran Strike novel.
Just finished Perdido Street Station.
Now reading The Time Machine.

I encourage you all to continue the series. The first is good, but it's really setting things up for the later volumes. Personally, I thought the second book was the strongest.
Glad to hear you're...
Agree on I Am Legend. Have you read Liu yet? I plan on Tackling Three Body pretty soon.

I agree with this entire statement. I LOVED Insomnia and will never forget that ending when I found out it was DT related. Never. And Holly? Don’t get it. She isn’t fun, interesting or captivating...
I figured I would cover that as they arose in my general chronological re-read of most of King, but that is taking too long, so I may need to do a 1-7 re-read...but I would not look forward to that...
I thought 1, 3 and 4 were really solid stories. I appreciated 2 as King trying something a bit unusual and different, but I don't think it quite came together.
Gibson has a very distinctive writing style that takes a bit of getting used to, I think. He also doesn't hand-hold his readers - he uses invented terms that he expects readers to infer the meaning...
Slayground, by Richard Stark.
“Parker jumped out of the Ford with a gun in one hand and the packet of explosive in the other.”
That incredible first line begins what is perhaps the best first...
