In addition to what webstar said (great point, by the way), people wait for screenings get there early to ensure entrance, and they wait for HOURS. Here in Vegas for normal movies I get there about...

I was talking to a guy yesterday who was ecstatic after watching It, this weekend.* He actually told me that around 5 (or was it 7?) people walked out of the screening where he was.
