I know if it were me I wouldn't have been able to turn back having made the journey that far. But I agree as the series went along Roland became a better person and easier to like. I didn't like...
I was satisfied with the ending but a little disappointed. I really liked Roland and I hated to see it end that way for him. I know King isn't big on endings but I felt like he could have done...
Yeah I am really enjoying it already. A lot of good insight on this site.
I don't think it matters if his Ka-tet would arrive with him or not. The Dark Tower is his quest. In my opinion he needs to cry off the tower to save his soul.
Thank you, That's a very good point. Maybe this version of Roland with the horn is a better Roland. I am still not sure if he will ever cry off the tower.
Totally agree, we knew from that point that Eddie had some steel in him. The drawing of the three is my favorite book and Eddie turns out to be my favorite character. The first time I read the...
May I ask why you think this way?[/QUOTE]
I feel this way because I feel like he is damned to continue the same cycle. As much as I want to believe that he will do something to save his soul I...
I really don't think this one is even close IMO. Desperation is one of my fav King books hands down but The Regulators left something to be desired for me.
I don't think Roland ever cries off the tower no matter if he has the horn or not.
I'm reading the complete series for the third time. I just started The drawing of the three and I'm at the part where Roland and Eddie are together in the "sky carriage"
I really had a hard time with Wolves of the Calla at certain times. I'm not sure if my mind was on other things too much but I really didn't get into it too much.
1. The drawing of the three
2. The dark tower
3. The waste lands
4. Song of Susannah
5. The Gunslinger
6. Wizard and Glass
7. Wolves of the Calla
Another one. What is the Crimson King exactly? It seems to me like he's the devil himself.
Quick question. What is the significance of the horn and just because Roland has it how would that change the outcome for him and save his soul.
I appreciate the help. I'm trying to get used to the site.
Thank you for the welcome everyone. I'm just glad that I can chat with people who've read the DT. My brother introduced me to it but he never finished it I'm not sure why.
Is the Crimson King supposedly the devil himself?
I was introduced to Stephen King by my older brother and after reading sever King books I knew I had to read the Dark Tower and now I'm starting the series over again for the 3rd time.
FAV...
The city of Lud in DT 3. Which city is that in our world? What is the significance of Roland having the horn at the end of DT 7? Is having the horn really going to save his soul? Thanks for any...
