I'm enjoying the book, but the font seems awfully small. I assume that the only people who still read actual books are over 40 these days. Bigger is better.
I enjoyed watching McCammon's Alabama appearance. He didn't talk a lot about this book, however, or any future projects other than the last Corbett book. Or least not that I could hear (curse that...
I received my signed copy today from Alabama Booksmith. Look forward to reading it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing like a new McCammon book.
I seem to recall getting the last McCammon book prior to the official publication date. Hopefully that happens again! A rare, perhaps singular instance of a book arriving early. If that happened...
Enjoyed the Corbett story "Death Comes for the Rich Man." There is a small error in chapter two:
“Yes.” Did he had a choice?
Great stuff. It would be cool if Alabama Booksmith could randomly insert one of the playing cards in the ordered books.
It would be great to win that walking stick at the Alabama Booksmith event! McCammon looks like he is having a lot of fun writing these books. Hopefully someone asks him about the Trevor Lawson...
The Facebook audio of the recent McCammon appearance at Alabama Booksmith isn't very good. It sounded like some type of phone or beeping noise kept going off and then it glitches. Or at least the...
Received my signed copy of KoS from Alabama Booksmith today over a week before the in-store signing event. They are really on the ball.
I finished reading KoS. Always great to settle in with a new Corbett novel but this is a middling addition to the series. Doesn't really advance the larger plot. More a series of novellas that fill...
In my Nook version from B&N there are four paragraphs in Chapter 7 starting on page 83 that are repeated. The first of the four paragraphs begins with Matthew saying "Witches and vampires!...
There is an odd repetition of text on p. 83 of the B&N Nook version that I downloaded today in the discussion between Matthew and DeKay. Not sure if that is unique to my version or a larger issue.
Alabama Booksmith is taking orders for signed trade copies of KoS.
Per the Lividian Facebook page, it sounds like the limited edition "King of Shadows" should be rolling out soon. That baby will land with a thump. It looks huge.
Any plans for Alabama Booksmith to have a McCammon signing for the upcoming book? That's a great source of signed trade editions.
Thanks for the info Brian. That all sounds great. Any consideration for bumping up the number of lettered editions by using the double letters (i.e AA, BB)? Maybe also give some future...
Any idea if the lettered will have a different cover or when that will be announced? I would love to see someone revisit the Greystone Bay anthology series.
It seems a little odd that the numbered is scheduled to come out six months before the trade. Is there a limit on the numbered editions being produced?
Ordered my limited edition. It looks massive.
