Crichton writes about his insecurities about himself and overcoming them. The first 1/3 is his experiences in med school and the last 2/3rds are about him visiting different countries (hence Travels)...
Has anyone read Travels? EXCELLENT book. Possibly the best non fiction book I have ever read.
